My Journey

As an Intern

Google

May 2024 – Aug 2024 Β· Seattle, WA

Software Engineering Intern

  • Built an automated test migration tool from the ground up β€” handling file parsing, translation logic, and auto-generation of migrated test files
  • Designed a deterministic Java system to translate a proprietary UI scripting language into equivalent Java test code with full test coverage
  • Tool handles 80% of migration cases, eliminating significant manual effort while maintaining consistent testing behavior

Google

May 2023 – Aug 2023 Β· Los Angeles, CA

Software Engineering Intern (STEP)

  • Built a real-time server monitoring dashboard for the Google Drive Restore team, enabling visibility into server health, error rates, and process latency
  • Collected and stored live server metrics using Kotlin, SQL, and Java; designed the dashboard from scratch to surface internal system state
  • Delivered end-to-end with an intern partner β€” from design through implementation and testing

Meta

May 2022 – Aug 2022 Β· Seattle, WA

Meta University Engineering Intern

  • Built a peer-to-peer Android marketplace app for buying and selling used textbooks, similar in scope to Facebook Marketplace
  • Integrated Google Books API, Google Maps API, Firebase, and Back4App for real-time messaging, location features, and data storage
  • Completed CodePath training program, building production-quality clone apps of Instagram, Twitter, and Flixster in Java

Howard University

2021 – 2024 Β· Washington, D.C.

Mathematics Tutor

  • Tutored students in Algebra, Calculus, and Applied Calculus
  • Supported peers in breaking down complex math concepts into approachable steps

As a Professional

Microsoft

Feb 2025 – Present Β· Redmond, WA

Software Engineer

  • Led end-to-end customization of ASR models for enterprise customers β€” spanning data preparation, training, experimentation, and evaluation to meet domain-specific accuracy requirements
  • Partnered directly with customers to gather requirements, iterate on model improvements, and deliver production-ready speech recognition systems
  • Designed and built an internal ASR Diagnostics AI Agent using Semantic Kernel to reproduce reported issues, analyze recognition errors, and surface targeted model fixes
  • Developed an AI Search–powered entity extraction pipeline to auto-generate domain-specific phrase lists and training datasets, accelerating Speech-to-Text adaptation
